Email Print RSS Facebook Twitter RSS

By Past Fire Chief Robert Crowe
March 2, 2018

Crews were just clearing from the MVA on the Old DeKalb Road when they were dispatched at 0853 hours, along with Pyrites Fire, to a two car MVA with rollover at the intersection of County Route 25 and the Barnes Road. Rescue 1 responded from the Old DeKalb Road and County Route 15 while Ambulance 132 was just leaving the scene and responded via the village. Chief Brian McCluskey was first to arrive onscene and advised all occupants were out of the vehicles. The ambulance crew evaluated the drivers and fire personnel assisted the NYSP with traffic control. Neither driver was injured and the vehicles were removed from the scene.

Units: Ambulance 132, Rescue 1

Mutual Aid: Pyrites Fire, NYSP

A true Gentleman stopped before rescue and got Alli out of her overturned Jeep. She was trapped by her seat belt and airbag. We are grateful to you Sir.
